At age 19 I flew 12 hours away from home and started a new life in the beautiful city of Cape Town. I stayed in South-Africa for a total of five months. The best thing about this entire experience was honestly the people. I actually met the love of my life here.

VOLUNTARY WORK
My work in South-Africa included being marketing assistant, photographer & designer for the Movement Development Program & Ukuphumelela Trust. I also directed and produced three promotional videos of which two were for fundraising.

CHILDREN
Helping to look after the kids during their jump rope classes was my favourite part of the job. I absolutely loved doing this and came to Khayelitsha every moment I possibly could. The classes weren’t just to keep the kids active, it’s actually what kept them off the streets and away from danger.
